 Der Vanilloidrezeptor 1 (auch Capsaicin Rezeptor, Abk. VR1 oder TRPV1, engl: Transient Receptor Potential Vanilloid, oder Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily V Member 1) zählt zu den TRPV (s. dort). Er ist an der Schmerzentstehung beteiligt (Reizwahrnehmung). Exprimiert wird er an nozizeptiven Neuronen in den spinalen Hinterhörnern, den Hinterhornganglien (DRG), dem Gehirn und peripheren Geweben.

Anandamid stimuliert sowohl TRPV 1, als auch die Cannabinoidrezeptoren des Endocannabinoidsystems.
 The vanilloid receptor 1 (also capsaicin receptor, abbr. VR1 or TRPV1, engl .: Transient Receptor Potential Vanilloid, or Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily V Member 1) belongs to the TRPV (see there).
